My favorite City Island stop. Fresh sea food always, awesome view outside eatery and beautiful women employees.

I was a bit disappointed seeing as there were so many great reviews. First off I want to say the staff was lovely. They were taking precautions as servers and the restaurant as a whole. The prices are high and the food was not great. My food wasn't anyway. The texture of the bbq chicken was off, it was cold, and not very flavorful. My boyfriend loved his food. He ordered the stuffed lobster and he was satisfied. The place i out dated. For the price I was expecting much better food

My friends and I went to JP's for my birthday and my dinner was a success. PJ personally came out to greet us and also gave us a complimentary dish and free cake and drinks on the house. He also was kind enough to take a picture with us. I want to thank PJ for the upmost and wholesome hospitality, we will be back. I tried this spot in the past with a friend and I am obsessed since then. I liked the awesome vibes and delicious dishes and drinks. Great work.

This was my first time at JP’s and it was amazing! The freshest seafood I’ve had and I’m from Va Beach (an area known for its seafood). The service was excellent! Overall my experience was super positive and I will be returning! Highly recommended! Drew

The place is not the most beautiful, but the food is delish. I had the shrimp stuffed with crab meat, and omg...soooo good. And that garlic bread.. that's some dangerously delicious stuff. I also had a Cosmo and it was pretty good. The servers were excellent as well.

Our overall experience was not so great today- the outside seating needed some cleaning by the work station. The young busboy was standing by his work station and was pulling on his hair- not very health code aware. I was very surprised to see the staff NOT WEARING FACE MASK. What’s Up With That! Our waitress was not very pleasant. But I most say the food was great! However I will not be coming back. Thank you. 👀👀

Great quality sea food

Too expensive... But when i did find something i wanted. I was shot down everytime, with no we don't have it, there's no more, we're not making anymore coffee...etc

Had a fantastic experience in this spot with my wife. The food comes rapidly and the service is just excellent. Prices are affordable.

The food was excellent with huge portions. The garlic bread is so scrumptious. A little pricey but we were celebrating so it was worth it. The wait staff was excellent.

This place was empty when we arrived, quickly seated and forgotten about. The menu is overwhelming when you see pricing I think it's a little over the top average plate is going to run you about $30 don't bring your kids unless you expect to spend $40 on each of their plates (Ridiculous) king crab legs are the best deal here though honestly. $75 for that plate but your getting plenty of crab meat. Drinks are over priced and service is really slow .. prob wont return if I do it's for those legs ...

I have been going to JPsfor over 25 years. Same owner, he is very friendly, quality wild caught seafood, always fresh. A bit on the pricey side but very well worth it. The portions are huge. The platter for 2 can feed 4 easily.

This is one of my favorite places on city island. This is where I always get my baked clams. Even though I have many restaurants similar to this one, I go out and beyond to get here. I love the owner. He's a sweetheart. He always treats me like a queen whenever I go there. Thanks JP. This is your customer who travels from afar, Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn. Now you know who I am. Hadn't been to JP's in over 10 years. Went here today with my girlfriend and had a great time. The food is still the very best that city island has to offer in my opinion. Great laid back vibe with good music and water views. The waitress Angie was very nice as well. Hopefully my tip told her how we felt about her service today. Cant wait to come back with an even bigger appetite!

Everything was perfect. The owner is dedicated to serving the very best.

Great place to get good seafood!

this place is nothing fancy but the food and views are great. the garlic bread is so good, you can't atop eating it. And the crab legs are so big they took up the whole table. definitely worth the money. staff is very attentive and friendly.

Last week was the first time we visited this excellent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last. We had a good time with the excellent service, with the magnificent cooking and fine drinks and with the modest price. We will no doubt go back there again.

Big Portions, good quality, nice views. Priced for the quality. JP is a great guy, cares about his customers. Outdoor seating has a great view of the Long Island Sound.

The MOST AMAZING SEAFOOD I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE. My boyfriend took me there for brunch and my birthday and it was the best gift EVER. Owner and the waitress were great. It was my first time and I AM FIR SURE GOING BACK. IT IS A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT WORTH EVER PENNY AND GIVE BIG PORTIONS 😀

The FOOOD is AMAZING the service is AMAZING our waitresses MOE was AMAZING. DEFINITELY GOING BACK.

Delicious food, kinda pricey but worth it. (Side note) If you're not a fan of garlic, you might want to forego this spot! But its pretty cozy, good for a special night out for two or to catch up with a friend over some good food!

Our server was very friendly and helpful! The crab legs and garlic bread were amazing. The lobster and stuffing dish were ok but it was a great Friday night dinner spot. It is not a posh place but we had a great time and enjoyed the food.

At first I thought it was a bit pricey. But after receiving the food, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. Great food..

The food was ok. The prices a little higher than most place. The establishment looks a little run down. The Boss n the the workers were nice.

Love the atmosphere and the seafood was so fresh! Especially love the Crab legs special and shrimp. And shout outs to the waitress that served. Such a sweetheart!

Goodness gracious this is THE best seafood spot EVER hands down just disregard everything about looks. Sevice is fast waiters is nice food is the BOMB and the owner is very interactive and kind.

Fresh delicious seafood! A little pricey, but worth it! The servers were friendly and helpful. The garden salad is very old school along with decor, however the water front view, especially during sundown is worth the extra money! They are not skimpy on the alcohol in the mixed drinks. I would most definitely be returning in the future

Great place, tucked away on the quiet end of the island. Good seafood is not inexpensive but well worth every dollar.

Ok... So u need to come here! No question, the service was pleasant and caring. The drinks where perfect. The waitress Melissa was amazing. Ok now on to the king crab legs, what else is there to say, the crab was some of the freshest I have eaten. Every bite was a piece of heaven. I literally felt like I was a king eating this. There is no question about it, this is a hot spot! I look forward to coming back and I haven’t even left yet!

This place is a hidden gem. As soon as you come in John greeted us warmly and even put on a little show with the fishes. The food is amazing!!! Highly recommended.

The food is absolutely awesome, no other restaurant on City island can compare and l must tip my hat to the staff who are really friendly and just this week l was there and dropped my wallet in the restaurant and one of the staff members found it and held on to it until l was able to come back to the restaurant to pick it up and let's not even begin to discuss the viewlooking over to Orchard beach brilliant.

This place is thee Best in City Island, The food is Delicious and large amounts, Long Island ice Teas is the best around and the outside dinning is awesome. Together with the professionalism of Jay the owner makes this my number 1 restaurant.

Went on 4/26 for the first time in a sit down restaurant since the lockdown with my family n we sat outside on the deck inwhich needs a facelift wasnt pleased with how dingy it is. However, the food was on point n the manager pleasant as always. Hope to be back soon n it's been remodeled...Thk you JP...

Excellent food and environment. Had a great service which was very attentive.

Food not all that. It wasn't that tasty. I had 1.5 lb lobster. When we came in on Christmas day, no one was there to great us. There was no well defined waiting area. We were just walking through the restaurant lost. Someone at the Bar had to tell a restaurant worker that we were there. It was very strange and starting thinking perhaps this restaurant was not a good one. Once we sat down the waiter service was better and decent - but nothing to brag about.
